Oyakodon

For this week, the theme is focused on Asian Cuisine, on Japanese and Korean foods to be exact, this post will be about a Japanese dish. Oyakodon, it might sound a bit weird to you, but you will absolutely hooked to it once you know what it is. Basically, it literally means "parent-and-child", is a Japanese rice bowl dish. It is because, the ingredients the main ingredients are chicken and eggs. Judging by the picture, it looks quite yummy right?

So, I will stop rambling and give you the ingredients since you seem to be excited to try it out.
You will need :-
4 cups steamed rice
1 onion
3/4 lb of chicken thighs or chicken breasts
1 2/3 cups of soup stock
7 tablespoons of soy sauce
3 tablespoons of sugar
1-2 eggs

As for cooking directions
Cut chicken and other ingredients into bite-sized pieces. Heat 1/4 cup simmering sauce in a small frying pan. Add chicken and simmer. Add green onions and other ingredients. When ready, slowly pour 1-2 lightly beaten eggs evenly over the whole dish. Slide topping onto the steamed rice once the eggs start to cook. The rice will finish cooking the eggs.

There you have it, serve while hot and enjoy your meal.

Results of your cooking should look like the ones in this link
