Spaghetti alla Carbonara

Pasta alla carbonara is one of the many famous Italian pasta dish created in the middle of the 20th century. name is derived from the Italian word for charcoal, hence it is believed that it was first made for Italian charcoal workers. It also has been said, that it was a tribute to Carbonari, a secret society prominent in the unification in Italy.
The traditional Italian version uses the cream, but nowdays most people are used to having a bit of cream in their carbonara. Thus the taste varies to every person. Making your own carbonara is so easy, you could whip it up yourself at home. The ingredients needed will be;

1 onion, chopped
